My Healing Journey: Become a Foreigner
I've just returned from times where I recognized that in order to move forward we have to become foreign in the familiar and take up citizenship in the places that lie ahead of us on our journeys. It's in the process of becoming estranged to the "culture" of our environments that we allow that feeling to inform the decisions we make about what we will do, what and how we will think, and how we will move into the foreign lands ahead of us. Always ahead.
I'm not saying the process is easy, because those around you will call you crazy for denying your place in their coterie so you can be ready to move forward (ive been through it), but the identity you hold is in YOUR PURPOSE--and you have to be a foreigner to where you are now so you can journey soulfully to where that purpose lies.
